This engaging, visual booklet tells the story of the first four years of the Sustainable Cultural Heritage Through Engagement of Local Communities Project (SCHEP), a cooperative agreement between ACOR and USAID. USAID SCHEP has established and employed a unique model to support the sustainable development and management of Jordan’s cultural heritage, including archaeological sites, in a way that directly involves and benefits the local communities living around them. This publication highlights the major achievements of the first four years of USAID SCHEP in several areas: site development, capacity-building, awareness, and tourism development (and much more!).
